Resumen

This article is an analysis of the portrayal of the Mexican Bicentennial on the Internet. Specifically, I look into the use of virtual social networking as a portal into national history, and the virtual images and other web presentations of the controversial and ultimately abandoned Torre Bicentenario project of the D.F. as revealing the gaps between global and local perspectives on the event.
