El Libro del Pueblo de Ocoyacac (situado al suroeste de la capital de México), intenta, mediante indicaciones detalladas acerca de los nombres de lugares y sus medidas, acreditar el derecho de propiedad de las tierras pertenecientes al pueblo. Se apela a San Martín, santo patrón del pueblo, y al Virrey Antonio de Mendoza, el que en 1535 habría repartido las tierras, a pesar de que éstas constan como propiedad del pueblo ya en la era precolombina, considerándoselas como fundación poblacional del noble Axayacatl, de cuyos descendientes han de provenir algunos de los que firman la petición.Downloads
