La autora trata de interpretar las representaciones mochicas ( costa norte del Perú entre -200 y 700) utilizando las informaciones de los etnohistoriadores y de los etnólogos. Escenas de ofrendas de niños, de vestidos, de pequeños objetos y de coca en relación con el consume de estas hojas debajo de un arco bicéfalo podrían ilustrar un rito de entronización celebrado en los momentos de los solsticios, al comienzo de las estaciones húmedas y secas, cuando se dan poderes a los jefes y cuando los jóvenes son reconocidos como adultos.Downloads
