Esta inscripción maya clásica se encuentra actualmente en el museo particular "Popol Vuh" de la Ciudad de Guatemala. Según consta de su texto jeroglífico procede del sitio arqueológico Naranjo {El Petén, Guatemala ), del cual fue sacado ilícitamente y paso a manos del propietario actual. Su texto es el más antiguo conocido de Naranjo. Trata en su mayor parte de la vida del primer rey naranjeño, llamado Rey la. Además, se mencionan sus padres y algunas fechas muy remotas del pasado y del futuro . Por su contenido y buen estado de conservación, el Tablero Popol Vuh Petén es un documento de máxima importancia para la historia prehispánica de los mayas clásicos.Downloads
