Basándose en el trasfondo de un concepto general de evolución social y estatal, se interpretan las culturas prehispánicas de México según cuatro fases de desarrollo progresivo, partiendo de sistemas simples hasta llegar a formas de organización complejas. La primera fase es la de una comunidad agrícola unitaria y autárquica, la segunda la de una comunidad autárquica orientada hacia un centro político-religioso, la tercera la de una comunidad urbana-agraria con una estatización formalizada, y la cuarta la de un estado unido ya no en lo económico sino, principalmente, en lo político.Downloads
