Le bàho: Ethnozoologie bei den Maya in Yucatán am Beispiel des Orthogeomys spp.

En una investigación etnozoológica los autores presentan un ejemplo de un objeto del ambiente físico de Yucatán. El topo/tuza (bah, Orthogeomys spp.) tiene muchas relaciones con la cultura maya contemporánea. Ya el mito de creación lleva a un ámbito religioso y mágico. Dentro de la taxonomía etnozoológica el topo se clasifica en un grupo especial (chibalil). También los mayas poseen conocimientos profundos sobre su modo de vivir. Para la caza de la tuza construyen una trampa muy elaborada. Los mayas conocen una receta para preparar el topo/tuza para la comida. Los autores explican la receta con la teoría "script".Downloads
