Los autores atribuyen la degollación mítica de la diosa madre azteca Coatlicue a su imagen de una madre perseguidora, causa de muchas privaciones y del sufrimiento repetido durante el largo viaje, así como a los intentos relatados de las mujeres de tomar el poder. La negación de los orígenes humildes, sin padre, se expresa contra la madre.Downloads
