La comparación estructural de secuencias de deidades en diversos capítulos del Códice Borgia permite la interpretación de relaciones entre diferentes representantes del panteón. En el presente artículo se examinan especialmente los trasfondos político-religiosos e históricos locales de la estrecha asociación de la magna mater Tlazolteotl con diferentes tipos de deidades masculinas. Las formas de aparición de esta dualidad constituyen uno de los temas de la teoría religiosa del Códice Borgia.Downloads
