The paper describes and analyzes the religious situation between blanco-mestizos, black and Awá natives in the municipality of Tumaco, department of Nariño, Colombia. The concept of border relations is introduced as an element that allows to interpret the type of fluctuating relations that are constituted there around elements as important as beliefs and religious practices. The discourses comprised in indigenous narratives are analyzed with regard to their importance as factors of resistance and identity construction.Downloads
