In recent years, there have been several studies have been devoted to a hitherto unexplored region of the Andes: the highlands of Lambayeque. At an unprecedented rate, in the last three years almost ten studies have been published addressing this region, for which very little ethnographic, historical or archaeological information exists. Here we will address only those who, to our modest criteria, could help to fill the gap that still affects the Sierra de Lambayeque, an area hitherto nearly absent in the anthropology and ethnography of the Andes.Downloads
