Abstract

The arrival of Europeans in America is a turning point in Native American research because we can incorporate the study of material culture and written sources. It is therefore necessary to establish a critical dialogue between archaeology and history that allows us to overcome the limitations present in both disciplines and strengthen their virtues. This paper aims to contextualize the data provided by historical and archaeological sources to understand the multifaceted social reality of the Teotihuacan Valley between 1500 and 1650 A.D.
