Abstract

En el presente trabajo se analizan dos de los conceptos fundamentales de la poética de Jorge Cuesta: el romanticismo y el clasicismo. Ambas ideas se ponen en relación con las actividades de polemista y crítico que el escritor veracruzano desempeñó durante los años del México posrevolucionario. Un tercer elemento se discute en estas páginas: el nihilismo que sustenta la reflexión cuestiana en torno al hecho poético.
