El texto analiza la polémica en torno a Osvaldo Soriano en el ámbito literario-intelectual. El trabajo retoma los argumentos esgrimidos por quienes reivindican la literatura de Soriano y los de los que son acusados por estos de ningunear al autor. A lo largo de la explicitación de los términos que va adoptando la polémica se van delineando dos vertientes literarias que fundan su división fundamentalmente en la política y que trazan a partir de sus valores los antagonismos entre una literatura popular y una de élite, entre el mercado y la academia, entre "escritores del pueblo" y escritores con prosapia, entre la baja y la alta cultura.
Abstract
The text discusses the controversy surrounding Osvaldo Soriano in the literary-intellectual field. The article incorporates the arguments of those who claim Soriano literature and those accused by them of look down on the author. The controversy is drawing two literary models mainly base their policy differences. Thus, the literature is divided between popular literature and elite, between the market and the academy, between "writers of the common people" and writers with ancestry, between low and high culture.
