Abstract

This article aims to analyze social and moral aspects of the training of African and Brazilian police officers in Portugal. In order to compare these two experiences, we try to examine the different social and political implications of cooperation formats. Based on the analysis of 115 interviews to police institute teachers, African and Brazilian students we will show how African students on the one hand, and Brazilians on the other, have different views
about their careers and about how they can apply locally the knowledge they acquire in this circulation.
