Over the past 20 years, Argentina stands out as the only Latin American country to produce a significant body of films about the Chinese diaspora. This article examines these representations in order to provide an overview of these narratives, identify their recurring themes, and distinctive features. The analysis reveals three central points: the evolution from stereotypical views to more diverse and subjective representations; the realistic depiction of the motives and conditions of migration; and the aesthetic and narrative hybridity as an expression of fluid identity.
