After the social unrest in Latin America, what?

Abstract

This Foro de Debate analyzes six years later, the social uprisings that transformed the recent political landscape of Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and Bolivia. From a comparative perspective, these texts analyze not only the origins, actors, and demands of those mobilizations, but above all, their consequences: what changed? Or did not, in the agendas, institutions, and social dynamics of each country. The aim is to offer a critical reflection on the scope and the political and social impact left by these protest movements on the contemporary Latin American political landscape.
