Abstract

En este artículo vamos a hablar de las fiestas de los pueblos del área tzotzil y tzeltal de Chiapas celebradas en el contexto de las cofradías coloniales, de la caracterización de la religiosidad entre estos grupos y de la influencia que España tuvo en este proceso, ya que estas cofradías fueron implantadas por los religiosos dominicos y tanto su organización y funcionamiento, como el calendario festivo que impusieron siguieron el modelo español.
