La literatura de frontera, ese extenso corpus textual compuesto por diversos géneros narrativos, vinculado a la conquista del territorio y a la lucha contra el indio devino en Argentina un género en sí mismo. El presente trabajo se propone examinar la categoría y determinar las variables de su formación. Asimismo, intenta indagar la relación que estos textos establecen con la construcción de una identidad nacional.
Abstract
Writing reflecting the Argentine experience of frontier, an extensive textual corpus of a variable narrative genres, linked to the appropiation of the territory and the fight against the indians, became a genre itself: “Frontier literature”. The present work attempts to examine this category and determine the central variables that group the collection. Finally it intends to analize the relationship between frontier literature and the national identity construction.
