Abstract

La historia de Guatemala se caracteriza por una larga tradición de violencia política y regímenes autoritarios. Los textos literarios que se analizan a continuación –Insensatez de Horacio Castellanos Moya (*1957) y El material humano de Rodrigo Rey Rosa (*1958)– giran precisamente alrededor de las políticas frente al pasado y nos permiten pensar de manera más detallada en el papel de la escritura y del lenguaje en el proceso de “hacer memoria”.
