Abstract
The article joins together different ways of analysing the phenomenon of the disappeared during the last military dictatorship in Argentina. It shows that the so called discourse of remembrance, in a paradigmatic turn, has overcome the claim for an absolute representation of the past. Instead, it includes constructivist positions which allow to integrate the local conditions and expressions into a global dimension and which lead to a critical analysis of the discourse of testimonies.
