Abstract

Se llaman Necaxa, Tlatizapan, El Aguaje, Morelia, Toros o Pumitas… En los últimos años, centenas de clubes de fútbol amateurs han aparecido como hongos… y esto en los EE. UU., el país en el que tradicionalmente el béisbol, el football americano y el basketball dominan la escena deportiva. ¿Estaremos presenciando una “latinoamericanización” deportiva de los EE. UU. a través del fútbol? Y si éste es el caso, ¿se debe a que los originarios de México se aferran a tradiciones e identificaciones deportivas de su país de origen?
