En el año 1972, la autora pudo adquirir en el mercado de Cajamarca (norte del Perú) dos vasijas modernas, las que - confeccionadas según la tradición alfarera local - ostentaban una gran similitud con un tipo determinado de las conocidas "vasijas-retrato" de la cultura mochica. Como modelo para estas obras, le sirvió al alfarero lugareño una pieza que había visto en la escuela de su hijo. Mientras que él, según sus propias palabras, confecciono las vasijas "para adornar no más", se sigue desconociendo hasta la fecha la función verdadera de los huacos.Downloads
