Abstract

The ongoing dialogue about our researches in linguistics and social geography that we have carried out in Huaraz (Peru) is the starting point for the construction of an interdisciplinary methodology. Among others, each of us worked with Quechua-Spanish bilingual children in four communities in the rural area of Huaraz. This experience led us to discuss issues of power, nature, social and political structures as well as Peruvian history and education. Our intersection is the language. In this article we answer three questions about our goals, theories and research methods. This dialogue is the foundation of an interdisciplinary work. Putting together the two different perspectives of work constitutes an enrichment for both disciplines.
