Abstract

In this article, I develop a reflection on the aesthetic-critical function of Portuñol as a translingual practice in contemporary South American literature, highlighting the way in which the Brazilian writers Wilson Bueno, Douglas Diegues and Josely Vianna Baptista promote intersection strategies of Portuguese, Spanish, and Guaraní language in their oeuvres, in order to provoke different forms of political-literary intervention in the context of South-South dialogue.
