The Dossier addresses the relationship between youth and politics in Latin America through a perspective that takes the concept of generation as a key issue. From this point of view, the six papers within the framework of youth studies reflect on topics such as the "first generation" of referents in the field during the second half of the 20th century, the generational reconfigurations in youth politicization during the recent decades of the 21st century, youth policies, and the effects of the pandemic on youth participation. In this sense, we propose a journey that explores the main questions and challenges of an interdisciplinary field of studies in constant consolidation and expansion.
