Abstract
The article focuses on Jorge Luis Borges’ trajectory in the graphic media between the years 1924 and 1935. The texts he published in Martin Fierro as well as in Sur, serve as a basis to examine the changes and overall progress of his work. Borges’ active participation in the so called martinfierrismo, stands in contrast with a secondary position in the journal Sur. This duplicity of positions is posed as a novel way to understand the turn his work takes during these years.
